Delftware is blue and white pottery that has been produced in the picturesque city of Delft since the Sixteenth Century. Delftware includes pottery objects of all descriptions such as plates, ornaments, and tiles. Students of different ages may experience what it is like to paint Delftware in Hong Kong and create a tile of their own in this competition. Besides winning fabulous prizes, outstanding works will be exhibited at Kornhill Plaza.
The competition is open to secondary school students, primary school students, and kindergarteners and has three respective divisions.

Competition: open from 31 March to 13 April 2018
Judging: 14 – 15 April 2018
Award Presentation: 22 April 2018
Exhibition: 23 – 30 April 2018

In addition, four Delftware workshops will be open to the public. In the workshops, you will learn about the history of Delftware, as well as how it is made. Participants can make their own Delftware with the help of Dobot Arm, a robotic arm that will turn your drawing on a tablet into a painting on a Delftware tile. Partial proceeds will be donated to Lifewire, a charity organization benefitting sick children in Hong Kong.
