The Swiss Art Studio presents the “Long Live Rembrandt Competition.” This is a public competition for art admirers of all ages in the Hong Kong region.

The year 2019 marks the Year of Rembrandt in the Netherlands, as it is the 350th anniversary of the death of the famous Dutch painter.

The most important condition for taking part is that you use Rembrandt as your inspiration. That inspiration could take any form: a modern version of one of his works, or an “echo” of Rembrandt’s art such as his use of colour, his flair for the dramatic or his mastery of light and shade.

The winner will be eligible to join the Holland tour in summer 2019 and join the prize presentation ceremony at the Rijksmuseum Teekenschool in Amsterdam. They will also be invited to participate in courses of Royal Talens and the Rijksmuseum Teekenschool.

Submissions can be handed in from March 20 to May 31, 2019 at the Swiss Art Studio.

  1. The winner is responsible for payment and arrangements of his/her own air fare, accommodation and own expenses. The Swiss Art Studio will cover the expenses for participating in the art classes at Royal Talens and Rijksmuseum’s Teekenschool.

  2. The Netherlands Summer Art Trip is only valid upon successful launch of the trip.

  3. If the Netherlands trip is cancelled, winner will be offered a 6-hour free course provided by the Swiss Art Studio.

  4. Prize may not be redeemed in cash.

  5. Swiss Art Studio Group Co., Ltd. reserves the right to amend the prize and details of competition without prior notice.
