About the event

On 27 April, people in the Netherlands don the colour orange – the traditional colour of the Dutch nation and royalty – and attend street parties and markets. The King and members of the Royal Family visit a new community every year and join the people in celebrating the Dutch spirit, people, and identity. Dutch missions overseas organise receptions and events for Dutch expatriates, as well as local friends, to celebrate the King’s Day and promote the Netherlands in the host countries.

In Hong Kong, over 4000 Dutch nationals, as represented by the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Hong Kong, invite the people of Hong Kong to Dutch Days to showcase the art, creativity, innovation, entrepreneurship, and culture of the Netherlands. Join the After Party at Mokum and experience this King’s Night as the Dutch do. Wear a hint of Orange!
