About the Musicians
When violinist Tosca Opdam, born and raised in Amsterdam, decided to continue her studies in New York, a new world opened up for her. It shaped not only her musicianship, but every aspect of her life. Tosca now describes herself as “a product of two worlds,” embracing the idiosyncratic qualities of Europe and the United States to enrich a personal expressiveness in music.
Daria van den Bercken
Celebrated for the fresh way she brings piano music to new life, Dutch-Russian pianist Daria van den Bercken is regarded as “a model for musicians of the future.” Her passion is to actively reach as many people as possible, enticing both classical music lovers and new audiences alike. As a 2016 Artist-in-Residence with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, she presented all the aspects of her successful approach, both in recital and concerto performance, and also in educational and social outreach.
