About Larissa Groeneveld and Frank van de Laar
The Dutch cello and piano duo, Larissa Groeneveld and Frank van de Laar, were trained by Dmitri Ferschtman and Jan Wijn respectively at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. Their continuous collaboration spans all of the Netherlands and all over the world, and their shared enthusiasm and artistic sensitivity won over critics with their intelligence and maturity “as delicate as filigrees” as well as “precision and grace.”
Larissa Groeneveld has worked with the pianist Ellen Corver and violinist Peter Brunt and has built an international reputation over the years.
After Frank van de Laar won several important awards, including a third prize at the Brahms Competition Hamburg 1987, he performed worldwide and completed Numerous radio and television recordings, including over 25 CDs released today.
